The happiest man in the world had his birthday today, and celebrated with 20 of the South End's finest, with a swim from his namesake to the club.
[thankyou Kiko Calpito]
The wetsuit twins - Kara and Morgan - led the way, and the sun did its best, providing an orange wash background to the black skyline of the greatest city on Earth. Yes, I enjoyed the swim, despite the fact that I had to maintain the equivalent of 6000rpm to keep up with the twins, and didn't get to float around on my back and enjoy the view. The pilots were exceptional, Captain Roper seemed happy, and everything is right with the world.
46 minutes, and just a little bit of help as we stayed fairly inside. I didn't even have to dodge the buoys as usual. Massage tonight - wonder if I'll fall asleep...
